Episode 28: Be Authentically You (featuring Meredith Seville)
Updated: Sep 4, 2019
In a world full of people focused on being who they think they should be - be who you truly are.
This was a first on the Podcast. Up until this episode, each guest had been a member of my family or one of my close friends. This week's star, Meredith Seville, is the best friend of my sister, and the audio producer of the podcast, Danielle. In a conversation during an editing session, I told Danielle I felt the show as getting too male-heavy and that I wanted to make sure I properly highlighted women. She immediately suggested Meredith.
I now know why!
I've always known Meredith as "my sister's friend." It turns out that she and I have a ton in common. Her bubbly and outgoing exterior gives way to a very deep-thinking mind and a true self-awareness.
The conversation took a turn I did not expect at all when Meredith openly discussed her battles with anxiety and her family's history of mental illness. I very much appreciate her candor and her ability to share her story with all of you.
It's her hope and mind that her words help someone realize they are not alone in what they are feeling and there is always a way to overcome adversity and harness it for personal growth.
